Our Aim Foundation is proud to announce the inauguration of a specialized women empowerment center, aiming to address the challenges faced by Rohingya women refugees in India. Commencing operations in March 2024 within a Rohingya refugee camp, this initiative seeks to provide essential support and opportunities for this marginalized community.
Sewing Skills for Economic Independence
The center will start by enrolling 20 Rohingya women in a comprehensive sewing training program. Beyond mere skill acquisition, this program aims to foster economic independence by equipping participants with essential sewing techniques. Under skilled trainers' guidance, women will learn not only garment creation but also garment repair and alteration, opening doors to various income-generating opportunities.
